| Abstract | The health-seeking behavior of women is intricately linked to their decision-making autonomy, emphasizing the pivotal role women play in family well-being. As primary caregivers, women often prioritize the health of their households, neglecting their well-being due to gender-based socialization. This is particularly pronounced in patriarchal societal settings that marginalize women's health concerns. The study, encompassing a population of 50 women, revealed a concerning trend of post-delivery complications, with women failing to pursue regular check-ups despite challenges. A crucial determinant of women's health-seeking decisions is their literacy rate, highlighting the need for comprehensive health education initiatives. Recognizing women as influencers and role models within their families, empowering them with socio-medical knowledge becomes imperative. Women's health behaviors extend beyond traditional healthcare settings, encompassing their roles as first responders to minor injuries within the domestic sphere. This paper aims to explore the behaviors of women regarding healthcare seeking, emphasizing the interplay of decision-making, education, and socio-medical awareness. By understanding these dynamics, health promotion initiatives can be tailored to address the unique challenges women face, promoting a holistic approach to women's health throughout the prenatal, natal, and postnatal period. |
