| Abstract | Stress induced eating the tendency to consume calorie dense, high fat, and high sugar foods in response to psychological stress contributes significantly to metabolic disorders, including obesity, insulin resistance, dyslipidaemia, and cardiovascular disease. Chronic stress alters appetite regulation through neuroendocrine pathways, reinforcing emotional eating patterns. Nutritional therapy emphasizing accessible nutrient rich foods such as whole grains, legumes, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, alongside structured eating habits and mindful behavior strategies, can mitigate the negative effects of stress on metabolic health. This article discusses mechanisms, prevalence, practical dietary and behavioural interventions, and broader implications for long term health outcomes. Findings highlight that integrated nutritional and behavioural strategies improve metabolic markers and support sustainable health. |
