Consumers Awareness Towards Organic Food Products: a Study in Chennai City

Abstract organic food products among urban consumers. This study examines the level of awareness among consumers towards organic food products in Chennai City and identifies the factors influencing their purchase decisions. Primary data were collected from 220 respondents using a structured questionnaire. Statistical tools such as percentage analysis, chi-square test, and ranking technique were used for data analysis. The results reveal that consumers possess moderate to high awareness of organic food products, with demographic variables such as age, education, and income significantly influencing awareness levels. Health benefits, quality, and environmental concern were found to be the most influential factors motivating consumers to purchase organic food products.
