| Abstract | Artificial Intelligence has become a revolutionary concept in various industries, particularly in education, and has had a significant impact on the world as a whole. This paper reviews Artificial Intelligence as a double-edged sword, aiming to identify its advantages and potential limitations in the spheres of education and society. The main purposes of the study are to examine how AI can be used to improve the teaching-learning processes, education accessibility, and the personalisation of the learning experience and to consider the ethical, social, and employment-related aspects of the topic in the global context. The research methodology of the study is descriptive and analytical and is supported by a comprehensive study of the secondary resources, i.e., scholarly articles, policy reports, and other international publications pertaining to AI, education, and social development. The results show that AI has remarkable effectiveness in education, the interest of learners, and the growth of their competencies, yet it raises the issues of data security, online inequality, excessive reliance on technology, and the displacement of employees. The paper concludes that, as AI is massively capable in terms of enhancing education and development of society, its integrated use in a responsible and ethical way is crucial to the purpose of inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development on the international level. |
