| Abstract | Abstract: agriculturally and industrially underdeveloped, the location of Bankura district was not very conducive for trade. A large part of the people of the district have been dependent on handicrafts for a long time .Just as the Central Govt. took various measures for the development of handicrafts in the district, various social service institutions also came forward for the development of handicrafts. After independence, the West Bengal Govt. has measures taken for the development of handicrafts in Bankura district has discussed through this article. |
