Author(s) Mr. Rupert Adrian Coronel Remulla, Dr. Reymart Bito Bolagao

Abstract The Philippines, while a leading exporter of nurses, faces a critical shortage due to high staff turnover, affecting hospital operations and patient care. Turnover is influenced by external factors, institutional conditions, and individual characteristics of nurses. Nursing administrators implement strategies such as retention initiatives, skill development, burnout mitigation, and skill flexibility to retain staff and maintain performance. Understanding these factors and strategies is essential for improving nurse retention and healthcare delivery.
