Work Motivation and Attitude Towards Teaching Profession of Secondary School Teachers

Abstract The present study aims to find out the Work Motivation of secondary school teachers in relation to their attitude towards teaching profession.186 secondary school teachers from Mandya District were selected using random sampling technique. Work Motivation Scale and Attitude Scale towards Teaching Profession were used to collect data. The study revealed that majority of the secondary school teachers possess above average level of Work Motivation and High level of attitude towards teaching profession.There was a positive correlation found between Work Motivation and the attitude towards teaching profession of secondary school teachers. The findings reveal that positive attitude towards teaching profession enhances work Motivation and vice versa.
