Abstract The article provide an ethnographic overview of the rituals and Taboos associated with Trade among the Nyishi and Tagin tribes of Arunachal Pradesh.Rituals and Taboos are the part and parcel of tribes but due to the modernization and arrival of Christianity rituals and taboos associated with trade have almost vanished in modern times.Apart from that the introduction of Indian administration and 1962 Chinese aggression traditional trade activities with outside world came to an end.
