Financial Factors and Dropout Intention among Secondary School Students in West Bengal: A Mediated Model Based on the Theory of Planned Behaviour

| Abstract | Dropout in West Bengal is higher than many other states in India, In the present study with 800 samples from both North 24 and South 24 PGS it has been observed that dropout Intention in secondary Education does not depend on financial factor directly rather it depends on the Psychological control factor mainly on perceived Behaviour Control, the mediating variable, and even attitude towards dropout plays a significant role while Subjective norms could not mediate the dropout Intention. |
