Abstract Malnutrition among school-aged children continues to be a major public health concern in India, particularly in rural and socio-economically disadvantaged regions such as Jharkhand. Deoghar district, predominantly rural in nature, faces persistent challenges related to child nutrition and growth. Malnutrition during school age adversely affects physical growth, cognitive development, and academic performance.
