Abstract Vitamin D plays a vital role in calcium metabolism and bone homeostasis. Postmenopausal women are at increased risk of systemic and alveolar bone loss due to estrogen deficiency, which may be aggravated by vitamin D insufficiency. Radiographic evaluation provides a non-invasive method to assess alveolar bone levels
