A Comparative Study on Anthropometric Measurement of Height and Weight among Runners and Throwers.

Abstract Background: This study aimed to examine the Comparative Study on Anthropometric Measurement of Height and Weight among Runners and Throwers. "Performance growth in some sports, not in all, relates to a variety of modalities of the Athletes". During the decade, there has been a marked increase in height and weight of the best competitors in all sports. Methodology: To achieve the purpose of the study, the investigator selected thirty male Athletes from 15 runners, 15 throwers, and various university intercollegiate athletes. The age of the participants ranged from 19 to 21 years. The selected participants were medically examined by a qualified physician. The selected participants were randomly selected. The administrative feasibility in terms of the availability of instruments, anthropometric are height and weight, were selected. Comparative analysis of selected anthropometric variables among runners and throwers, one-way analysis of variance was computed to determine the significant difference. Further post HOC test was administered where ever 't ratio.
Result of this Study: Based on the statistical analysis of data, the following conclusions have been drawn. Sprinting athletes were showed tremendous differences in height and weight, It observed from the study in body weight; all the two groups were showed significant difference. Throwers had superior body weight to the runner.
