| Abstract | The role of women as world leaders in education management has been increasingly discussed because it has implications with respect to performance of the institution, equity, and sustainable development. Although women make up a substantial percentage of the world education workforce, they are not represented in top management and decision-making positions disproportionately. This paper will explore the problems of women leaders in the education management field around the world, how the women tackle the problems, and the results that accompany the education institutions led by women. The research design being applied was a mixed-methods study that involved surveys, interviews, and secondary institutional reports to gather data on education administrators in various regions. As the results show, women still have little room to develop their leadership because of structural factors, social norms, and prejudice within an organization. Still, the adaptive leadership approaches, mentorship programs, and the policy-based support systems have helped women leaders to make quantifiable contributions to the quality of governance, inclusivity, and institutional performance. The research would be relevant in the literature of leadership and education management as it gives a globally oriented and outcome-based analysis based on empirical evidence. Policymakers, institutional leaders, and international education organizations are given practical implications that can be used to enhance gender-equitable leadership and empower global education systems. |
