| Abstract | The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, commonly known as the POSH Act, was enacted to ensure a safe and dignified environment for women in workplaces and educational institutions. Despite the existence of this legal framework, incidents of sexual harassment continue to occur, often remaining unreported due to lack of awareness, fear of stigma, and weak institutional mechanisms. This study aims to assess the level of awareness and implementation of the POSH Act in workplaces and educational institutions. The research is based on primary data collected from 73 respondents through a structured questionnaire using Google Forms. The findings reveal that while general awareness of the POSH Act exists, detailed knowledge regarding reporting procedures, Internal Committees, and institutional responsibilities remains limited. The study highlights gaps between legal provisions and actual practice and emphasizes the need for regular awareness programs, strengthened complaint mechanisms, and a supportive organizational culture to ensure effective implementation of the Act. |
