Tourism and Rural Development with Special reference to Ziro Valley of Arunachal Pradesh

Abstract	This paper examines the interplay between tourism development and rural progress in Arunachal Pradesh, with Ziro Valley as a focal point. Using secondary data from government reports, tourism department statistics and academic studies, it highlights Ziro Valley's cultural and ecological significance and evaluates the socio-economic impacts of tourism on rural communities. The paper further explores challenges like infrastructure gaps and seasonality while proposing strategies for sustainable tourism that contribute to rural development, including income and employment generation, community participation, and preservation of local traditions.
