| Abstract | The `Galo are one of the major tribes mainly settled in the West-Siang district, Leparada district, and Lower-Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. They are distinguished by a rich folk tradition encompassing both material and non-material culture. Their food, clothing, and dwellings each possess unique characteristics that reflect the identity of the Galo people. This article provides a comprehensive account of the traditional Galo house, including the materials and construction methods, the roles of community members, and the associated rituals and practices. It also examines daily activities within a Galo household. |
