Abstract	Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are fields which no longer remain confined to computer science. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into academic writing has significantly transformed the way scholars and students approach research, writing, and paraphrasing. The study focuses on the use of paraphrasing tools in academic writings. These tools usually use NLP (Natural Language Processing), a subset of AI that gives the machines the ability to read, understand and infer meaning from human language. A paraphrase tool corrects the results and provides the user with precisely recreated data that can be incorporated in any project work. This paper explores the role of AI in academic writing, with a particular focus on paraphrasing tools, their advantages, ethical concerns, and their impact on the writing process. Additionally, a comprehensive literature review is conducted to examine various studies on AI-based academic writing tools, providing a rigorous analysis of their effectiveness, limitations, and ethical implications.
