| Abstract | Navigation plays an important role in daily life, especially in complex indoor environments such as educational institutions, hospitals, shopping malls, airports, and corporate buildings. Although outdoor navigation has been effectively addressed using GPS-based systems, indoor navigation remains a challenging problem due to signal attenuation, multipath effects, and the lack of precise indoor maps, often causing users to experience difficulty in locating specific rooms or facilities. With the advancement of mobile computing and computer vision technologies, Augmented Reality (AR) has emerged as an effective solution by overlaying virtual information directly onto the real environment, thereby providing an intuitive and user-friendly navigation experience. The AR Indoor Navigation System proposed in this project uses ARCore and vision-based localization instead of traditional infrastructure-based methods. A three-dimensional spatial map of the indoor corridor is created using the Multiset mapping application, processed in the cloud, and integrated into the Unity environment to enable accurate real-time localization and navigation. |
