A Study On The Behavioural Insights Into Investment Choice of Corporate Professionals In Market-Linked And Fixed Income Instruments.

Author(s) Mr. Divesh Kukreja, Dr. Reshma Jaisinghani

Abstract The rapidly digitalised financial landscape and the increasing availability of diverse investment products have significantly influenced individuals’ investment decisions. Corporate professionals, despite having stable incomes and greater market exposure, often show differing preferences between market-linked and fixed-income options. While equities and mutual funds attract investors due to their higher return potential, fixed-income instruments remain preferred for their safety and stability. This study examines the behavioural factors influencing their investment decisions, focusing on psychological, demographic, and financial aspects. It highlights the impact of biases such as risk perception, loss aversion, herd behaviour, and financial literacy. The findings aim to help financial advisors, policymakers, and fintech platforms design more effective investor education and customised financial solutions.
