Pudhumai Penn Scheme: Beneficiaries Perspective

Author(s) Dr. VANI A
Country India
Abstract This study examines awareness, problems, and satisfaction levels among beneficiaries of the Pudhumai Penn Scheme, a higher education incentive programme of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Using primary data from 50 students, descriptive analysis was employed to assess sources of awareness, difficulties in accessing benefits, and overall satisfaction. Findings reveal that newspapers are the dominant information source, while Aadhaar linkage issues and irregular disbursement remain major barriers. Most respondents report moderate to high satisfaction, indicating positive educational support. The study highlights the need for streamlined documentation, digital facilitation, and awareness initiatives to improve effective scheme implementation and beneficiary experience overall.
