| Abstract | This study was carried out to determine the career pathways and professional development of the Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU), Philippines Graduate School alumni for the school year 2013-2023. This specifically described the graduate's demographic and employment profile, motivations in pursuing graduate studies, changes in their occupational conditions and level of improvement of their professional competencies. The study used a quantitative research design and data gathering was conducted from June 2023 to March 2025 with the use of a survey questionnaire. There were 185 alumni of NDMU Graduate School from various programs who participated in this study. The data was analyzed, presented, and interpreted using frequency counts, percentages, and means. Results showed that the majority of the graduate-respondents are male, married, belong to the 29-33 age group, and currently employed with the government. Their motivation in pursuing graduate studies are personal decisions and for professional development. Interestingly, there were changes in the job title/job position, job ranking and job assignment of the graduate-respondents and yet almost half of the respondents do not have provisions in their institutions regarding salary increase after completion of Master/Doctorate degree. |
