Abstract This study undertakes a critical analysis of Chandrayana Vrata as depicted in ancient Indian texts including the Vedas, Upanishads, Smritis and Dharmashastras. By exploring the various types of Chandrayana Vrata, their associated rituals and their role in giving health benefits, in promoting spiritual growth and social harmony, this study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of this ancient tradition and its continued relevance in modern India.
