| Abstract | This study aims to systematically analyse the health inequality among transgender population with particular emphasis on barriers to healthcare accessibility and existing healthcare policies in India. This study employed the systematic literature review to analyse the barrier to health care access for transgender and healthcare policies for transgender. The findings reveal that structural stigma embedded within healthcare, employment, and insurance systems significantly restricts access to medically necessary and gender-affirming care. Barriers such as workplace discrimination and economic exclusion constrain insurance coverage, where transgender women are most severely affected |
