Abstract	Environment at higher education institution is very crucial element for both learners and for teachers. This paper analyses the various environment at higher education Institutes and tries to find ways to how Excellence could travel from better to best in HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION. In mathematical terms the paper tries to prove that intellectual growth of both teachers and learners is directly proportional to the growth of the HEI. It probes into the role of curriculum design, faculty, student engagement and institutional policies in intellectual development of the institution. It also examines the dynamic nature of education system in both global and Indian context. A new view of interdisciplinary education is mentioned with its positive and negative side. The paper also gives a glimpse to the challenges faced by the higher education institution. Towards the conclusion paper tries to pave ways through which HEI could transfer themselves into intellectual repository.
