| Abstract | Small businesses in rural India play an important role in the local economy, yet many of them still rely on traditional and manual methods to manage daily operations. Limited digital literacy, lack of awareness of modern technological tools, and inadequate access to digital infrastructure contribute to a slower pace of digital transformation in these areas. As a result, tasks such as workflow management, record keeping, and communication are often inefficient and time-consuming. This paper explores the importance of digital transformation for small businesses in rural India and examines how modern web applications can support the transition from manual to digital business processes. The study highlights the potential of web-based systems to improve operational efficiency, enhance task management, and enable better coordination within organizations. As a practical example, this paper proposes a web-based Task Management System (TMS) that can assist small businesses in organizing tasks, monitoring progress, and managing workflows through a centralized platform. The proposed approach demonstrates how accessible and scalable web technologies can help bridge the digital divide and support the growth and productivity of rural enterprises. The study also emphasizes the importance of human skill development and digital awareness to ensure the effective adoption of such technological solutions. |
