Author(s) Prathamesh Shinde, Dr. Snehal Patil Birje
Country India
Abstract This study examines the investment patterns and preferences of retail investors, focusing on how individuals allocate their savings across various financial instruments such as equities, mutual funds, fixed deposits, gold, and real estate. It analyzes the key factors influencing investment decisions, including risk tolerance, income level, financial literacy, market awareness, and demographic variables. The study also explores investor behavior in response to market fluctuations and economic conditions. The findings highlight a growing shift toward diversified portfolios and increased participation in market-linked instruments, while traditional options still remain popular among risk-averse investors. The research aims to provide insights that can help financial institutions and policymakers design better investment products and strategies tailored to retail investors.
