| Abstract | A robotic arm is a programmable mechanical device designed to perform tasks traditionally carried out by humans. It consists of interconnected segments, joints, and actuators, often controlled by microcontrollers or computer systems, to mimic human arm movements. Robotic arms are widely used in industries for tasks such as assembly, welding, painting, and material handling due to their precision, repeatability, and ability to work in hazardous environments. The integration of sensors and advanced control algorithms allows these arms to perform complex operations with high accuracy and efficiency. The development of robotic arms has revolutionized automation and manufacturing processes by reducing human labor and increasing productivity. Modern robotic arms vary in design, ranging from simple two- or three-axis systems to sophisticated multi-axis models capable of complex motions. They can be controlled manually, semi-autonomously, or fully autonomously, depending on the application. With advancements in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and sensor technologies, robotic arms are now capable of adaptive and intelligent operations, making them an essential component in fields like healthcare, aerospace, and precision engineering. |
