| Abstract | The shift to virtual teaching in higher education has transformed instructional practices but introduced significant technological and economic challenges for educators. This study explores barriers such as limited digital proficiency, rapid technological changes, technical issues, cybersecurity concerns, and accessibility limitations, along with high costs of devices, internet, training, and institutional constraints. Based on a comprehensive literature review, the study identifies key domains and factors influencing these challenges. Findings indicate that these barriers reduce teaching effectiveness, motivation, and quality. The study highlights the need for strategic investments, supportive policies, and capacity-building initiatives, along with inclusive digital approaches to enhance accessibility and ensure sustainable virtual teaching. |
