| Abstract | The digital transformation of democratic processes has opened new possibilities for inclusive participation, transparency, and efficiency, yet it has simultaneously exposed electoral systems to unprecedented cyber vulnerabilities. In the digital age, safeguarding electoral integrity has become a crucial challenge as threats such as hacking, disinformation campaigns, algorithmic manipulation, and foreign interference undermine public trust in democratic institutions. This paper explores the multifaceted dimensions of electoral integrity in the context of cybersecurity, highlighting the interplay between technological innovation, governance frameworks, and ethical responsibilities. It emphasizes the importance of strengthening digital infrastructure, enhancing cyber literacy, and adopting robust regulatory mechanisms to protect elections from digital disruptions. Furthermore, it discusses the role of international cooperation and multi-stakeholder engagement in addressing transnational cyber threats. The study underscores that electoral integrity is not only about securing technological systems but also about fostering transparency, accountability, and resilience within democratic institutions. Ultimately, safeguarding democracy in the digital age requires a holistic approach that integrates technology, policy, and civic responsibility to ensure free, fair, and secure elections. |
