| Abstract | The present study focuses on the formation of coordination complexes between transition metal ions and different ligands. Transition metals are well known for their ability to form stable complexes .The stability of these complexes is generally expressed in terms of stability constants, which indicate the strength of interaction between metal ions and ligands .In this work, the pH-metric titration technique has been used to determine the stability constants by observing the change in pH during the gradual addition of a standard base. The experimental data obtained from titration curves helps in understanding the mechanism of complex formation as well as the influence of various factors such as pH, concentration, and nature of ligands The finding of this study are useful in explaining the importance of metal ligand interaction in chemical biological and environmental system .This also provides a basis for further research in coordination chemistry |
