| Abstract | Road safety is a major concern due to increasing traffic and delayed driver response. This paper presents a simple Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and basic Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communication system using a Raspberry Pi-based front unit and an ESP32-based rear unit with ZigBee communication. The system detects hazardous conditions and generates timely alerts to help avoid collisions. Results show a fast response time of 0.9 to 1 seconds, making it suitable for short-range applications. A basic traffic signal control feature is also included for emergency situations. |
