| Abstract | Adolescence represents a critical developmental phase where dietary habits are established, significantly influencing long-term health outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of a structured nutrition education workshop on adolescents’ food choices, nutritional knowledge, and lifestyle attitudes. A quasi-experimental pre- and post-intervention design was employed with a sample of 97 students aged 13–16 years. Data were collected using structured questionnaires administered before and after the intervention. The workshop included interactive sessions on balanced nutrition, processed foods, hydration, and the relationship between diet and mental health. Results indicated significant improvements in nutritional knowledge, with correct responses increasing from approximately 38% to 74%. Participants also demonstrated enhanced awareness of the effects of sugar, hydration, and meal skipping on cognitive and emotional functioning. Behavioral intention improved, with 64.9% of participants expressing willingness to adopt healthier lifestyle habits post-intervention. The findings suggest that structured, interactive nutrition education programs are effective in enhancing adolescents’ understanding and motivation towards healthier dietary behaviors. The study supports the implementation of school-based, multi-component interventions to promote long-term health outcomes. |
