| Abstract | This paper is about HoneyShield, a system that can trick and catch people who try to attack computers. These days people who try to hack into computers use automated programs that keep trying to find spots in internet services. They look for things like passwords, unfixed security problems and misconfigured computer settings. Most security tools, like firewalls and intrusion detection systems are good at blocking these attacks. They do not really try to understand how the attacks work. |
