| Abstract | In emergency situations such as earthquakes, floods, and infrastructure failures, traditional communication systems often become unreliable due to network congestion or power loss. This paper presents Mesh Rescue Chat, a lightweight and infrastructure-independent communication system based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The system enables real-time device-to-device communication using a client-server model and GATT protocol. It also integrates an AI-based assistance module using the Gemini API to enhance user interaction. Experimental results show reliable communication within 10–30 meters, low latency under 500 ms, and a high message delivery rate of 90–95%. The system provides a cost-effective and energy-efficient solution for emergency communication. |
