| Abstract | Relations between Iran and the United States constitute one of the most significant and complex relationships in international politics. Until the mid-20th century, the two nations shared a cooperative relationship; however, following the Islamic Revolution of 1979, these ties turned hostile. The nuclear program, economic sanctions, the balance of power in the Middle East, and ideological differences represent the key contentious issues defining this relationship. This research paper presents a study of the historical evolution of Iran-US relations, their major conflicts, their current status, and their impact on global politics. |
