| Abstract | In the digital age, cyber security has become a major concern for governments, organizations, and individuals. The rapid growth of data sharing and storage increases risks such as data breaches, identity theft, ransomware, and financial fraud. Traditional centralized systems are vulnerable, as a single point of failure can lead to massive damage. Blockchain offers a strong alternative with its decentralized structure, immutability, and transparency, making systems harder to manipulate and more trustworthy. This paper explores its role in three key areas: securing digital transactions, protecting digital identity, and safeguarding data from tampering. It also examines real-world applications, challenges such as scalability and regulation, and future research directions. The study concludes that blockchain extends beyond cryptocurrency, providing a powerful tool to strengthen cyber security and build a safer digital ecosystem. |
