| Abstract | The study endeavored to determine the ability of the level of perceived digital financial literacy (DFL) to predict the level of perceived personal financial resilience (PFR) of business educators in private higher education institutions (HEIs) in South Cotabato Province, Philippines. It also looked into the significant difference in the level of digital financial literacy and the level of perceived personal financial resilience of the business educators when grouped according to demographic profile, namely: age, sex, and highest educational attainment. The survey method was employed in gathering the data used in this study. A research instrument was developed and validated by experts. Data gathered was analyzed through frequency counts, percentages, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, simple linear regression analysis, one-way analysis of variance, and non-parametric tests of difference. Results indicate that respondents have a high level of perceived DFL and a high level of perceived PFR. However, data analysis shows that the relationship between the levels of perceived DFL and perceived PFR is only explanatory rather than predictive. This indicates that the level of perceived DFL can explain only a small proportion of the respondents’ level of perceived PFR. When grouped according to demographic profile, a significant difference was only found in the highest educational attainment for both variables. The results of this study lay the foundation for future research in digital financial literacy and personal financial resilience and may serve as a basis for policy and strategy formulation in improving both the digital financial literacy and personal financial resilience of business educators in private HEIs in South Cotabato. |
