| Abstract | Vocational training enhances human capital and promotes the inclusion of human capital in the workforce within the emerging sectors in India. The structural barriers affecting tribal women are low access to training that is relevant to industries, social and cultural limitations, as well as poor connections between education and work. The present paper is devoted to the way vocational training may be used as a transformational agent towards the empowerment of tribal women in the developing industrial sectors in India. The research takes a descriptive-analytical design that involved secondary data of government reports, policy documents, and published research to identify the tribal women-oriented training programs and how they impact the employability, skills acquisition and the economic role of tribal women. The study determines trends on skills learning, workforce integration and program performance in various industries and locations. The results have shown that industry-focused vocational training increases the employability rates, income prospects, and participation of tribal women in the new industries. The paper highlights that there is an urgent requirement of culturally sensitive, gender responsive training models so as to enable sustainable empowerment and inclusive workforce development. Moreover, the paper highlights that current policy frameworks, despite being comprehensive, do not do enough to tackle the unique socio-economic realities of tribal women, and as such, specific interventions should focus on closing the skills gaps and job market avenues. |
