Abstract Aerva lanata, a traditionally used medicinal plant, was investigated for its phytochemical constituents, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties. The ethyl acetate extract of A. lanata was analyzed using GC-MS, revealing 15 bioactive compounds. Phytochemical analysis confirmed the presence of saponins, proteins, flavonoids, phenolic compounds, and glycosides. Antioxidant activity was evaluated using the H2O2 scavenging assay, demonstrating a linear increase in radical scavenging activity with increasing extract concentration. Antimicrobial studies showed significant antibacterial and antifungal activities against Staphylococcus aureus, Proteus vulgaris, and Candida albicans, surpassing standard antibiotics and antifungals. The presence of phenolic compounds may contribute to the plant's antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. These findings suggest the potential development of A. lanata's ethyl acetate extract into antioxidant, antibacterial, and antifungal formulations.
