The Contribution of BYG Solutions to the Verification/validation of Methods

Abstract	The verification and validation of analytical methods in medical biology represents one of the core requirements of the ISO 15189 standard. Selected methods and procedures must be rigorously evaluated to ensure they yield reliable and accurate results before being used for clinical analyses. The EVM® software, developed by BYG Informatique — a specialized middleware software company in the field of medical biology and healthcare — has been designed to manage all operations related to method verification and/or validation. Its principal objectives are to validate bias-free methods and to systematically assess their precision (repeatability and intermediate precision). This paper describes how the EVM® solution contributed to the method verification/validation programme at the Biochemistry Laboratory of the Mohammed VI University Hospital in Oujda, Morocco, and examines its capacity to streamline data processing, reduce time expenditure, and support ISO 15189 accreditation.
