SmartSense Home: Activity-Aware Weather-Based Smart Home Automation System Using IoT

Abstract	This paper presents SmartSense Home, an activity-aware weather-based smart home automation system using IoT technology. The system integrates temperature, rain, flame, motion, and light sensors to automate home appliances such as fans, lights, curtains, and safety alarms. It uses ESP32/NodeMCU for real-time monitoring and decision-making. The system can automatically respond to environmental changes, provide wireless notifications, detect fire hazards, and improve energy efficiency through activity-aware execution and timing-based control. Experimental results demonstrate reliable operation, low power consumption, and effective automation. The proposed system offers a cost-effective, scalable, and energy-efficient solution for modern smart homes. � SmartSense Home 12.docx
