Abstract In today’s stressful life, having spiritual healthy state along with ‘positive mental health’ is an influential dimension of overall human well-being that effect an individual’s inner harmony, involving alignment of mind, body, self and feeling of association with a higher purpose or nature (Gaur, 2022). ‘Positive mental health’ emphasises psychological well-being including optimism, emotional balance and effective social functioning (Jahoda, 1958; WHO, 2004; Seligman, 2011). The research aimed to examine the levels of spiritual health and ‘positive mental health’ among pre-service teacher trainees and explore the relationship between these two variables. The study adopted a descriptive survey method. Data were collected from the trainees enrolled in private teacher education institutions in Kamrup Rural District of Assam. A sample of D.El.Ed. trainees were selected using the simple random sampling technique. This study used standardised tools, including the Spiritual Health Assessment Scale by Dr Kusum Gaur (2022) and the Warwick Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale (2006). The simple ‘Percentage Method’ and ‘Pearson Coefficient of Correlation’ were applied. The study has found a moderate positive correlation between ‘spiritual health’ and ‘positive mental health’, among pre-service teacher trainees.
