| Abstract | In the digital era, screen use has become an integral part of everyday life, particularly among young adults. Although technology supports communication and learning, excessive use can lead to screen addiction, which may negatively impact emotional well-being. At the same time, loneliness has emerged as a common experience, as virtual connections increasingly replace face-to-face interactions. The present study aimed to examine the relationship between mindfulness, perceived loneliness, and screen addiction among college students, along with the influence of selected demographic variables. The sample consisted of 317 college students aged 17 to 24 years, selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected through Google Forms using standardized self-report measures assessing mindfulness, loneliness, and screen addiction. The findings indicated significant relationships among the variables, with loneliness showing a positive association with screen addiction, while mindfulness was related to both loneliness and screen use patterns. These results highlight the role of psychological factors in influencing digital behaviour among young adults. |
