| Abstract | Recruitment and selection are critical functions of Human Resource Management that significantly influence the quality of an organization's workforce and its overall performance. In the present competitive business environment, organizations increasingly rely on campus recruitment as an effective source for acquiring fresh talent with the required knowledge, skills, and potential. Campus recruitment not only helps organizations identify suitable candidates at an early stage but also supports the development of a strong and sustainable talent pipeline. This research focuses on examining the effectiveness of recruitment and selection through campus recruitment. The study aims to evaluate recruitment planning, selection procedures, candidate assessment techniques, interview processes, and the role of training and development programs in enhancing employability and job readiness. It also investigates employees' perceptions regarding the quality of candidates recruited through campus placements and the contribution of campus recruitment to organizational success. A descriptive research design was adopted for the study. Primary data were collected from 100 respondents through a structured questionnaire, while secondary data were obtained from books, journals, research articles, company records, and relevant websites. Statistical tools such as Percentage Analysis, Chi-Square Test, and Correlation Analysis were used to analyse and interpret the collected data. The findings indicate that campus recruitment is an effective talent acquisition strategy that enables organizations to attract qualified candidates, reduce recruitment time, and improve workforce quality. The results further reveal that structured selection procedures, proper assessment methods, and training initiatives positively influence candidate performance, adaptability, and long-term employability. The study concludes that an efficient and systematic campus recruitment process contributes significantly to organizational effectiveness, employee development, and sustainable growth by ensuring the availability of competent and job-ready talent. |
