Abstract The transition to college is a period marked by increased responsibility, evolving social roles, and heightened academic demands. This quantitative study examines the impact of romantic relationships on academic procrastination among college students by comparing students who are currently in romantic relationships with those who are single. A total of 120 college students participated through purposive sampling, and data were collected using Google Forms. The Academic Procrastination Scale developed by Savita Gupta and Liyaquat Bashir (2008) was used for assessment. Data were analyzed using Independent Samples t-test and One-way ANOVA. The findings revealed that students in romantic relationships reported significantly higher levels of academic procrastination compared to single students. Socio-economic status was also found to significantly influence academic procrastination. The study highlights the importance of considering interpersonal and contextual factors when addressing academic procrastination among students.
