| Abstract | Abstract Introduction Brushing teeth is an easy yet important activity that is essential to maintain dental health. Early exposure strengthens the habit and increases the probability that youngsters will continue to practice proper dental hygiene as they get older. Oral health results are strongly influenced by toothbrushing frequency. Brushing twice a day lowers the risk of gum disease and tooth decay by preventing plaque accumulation. Objectives a) Observe the frequency of change in toothbrushing post-dental conglomerate involvement. b) Assessment of the oral hygiene of an individual. Methods Study conducted over 75 participants, aged more than 18 years. Participant’s basic oral hygiene was assessed by using Simplified Oral Hygiene Index (OHI-S) and a questionnaire. Participants were instructed to maintain oral hygiene, brush regularly and visit the dentist at regular intervals. A comparison of pre and post-values was conducted after 6 months. Results With a significant P-value, the comparison reveals that the participant’s mean OHI-S score improved at the end of the study as compared to the baseline data, and the number of regular dental visits also increased after 6 months. Conclusion Oral health promotion, including oral screening, preventive programs like fluoride mouth rinse etc. Health education should be conducted at regular intervals to educate and raise awareness about oral health maintenance. At the outset of this research, brand promotion raises community awareness and increases participation among its members. It is important to publicize such recommendations to encourage more individuals to engage in these healthful behaviors. |
