Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Public Perception: An analytical study on brand and equity.

Author(s) Manoranjan Malik
Country India
Abstract Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has transitioned from a voluntary philanthropic gesture to a strategic imperative. This paper examines the complex relationship between CSR initiatives and public perception. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, this study investigates how different dimensions of CSR—environmental, ethical, and economic—influence consumer trust, brand equity, and public sentiment. The findings indicate that while authentic CSR engagement significantly strengthens public perception, perceived greenwashing or insincere initiatives lead to severe reputational damage. The paper concludes with actionable frameworks for organizations to align their corporate values with public expectations to foster long-term stakeholder loyalty.
Keywords CSR, Stakeholders loyalty.
