Abstract This study examines the relationship between childhood trauma and social anxiety among college students. A sample of 400 college students was selected using a convenient sampling method. The Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ) developed by Bernstein and Fink (1998) and the Social Anxiety Questionnaire (SAQ-A30) developed by Caballo et al. (2012) were used to collect data. Statistical analyses including Pearson's correlation, independent samples t-test, and one-way ANOVA were employed. The results revealed a significant positive correlation between childhood trauma and social anxiety (r = .542, p < .01). Significant differences were found based on gender, age, occupation, college type, domicile, degree stream, and family income. The study concludes that childhood trauma is a significant predictor of social anxiety among college students, underscoring the need for trauma-informed mental health interventions in educational institutions.
