Abstract The utilization of artificial intelligence in education can further improve the teaching-learning experiences due to its promising potential to address some of the challenges educators and administrators face in our education system. However, despite of its potentials, various concerns still emerge which affects its utilization in the field of education. To further understand the educators’ perspective towards artificial intelligence in teaching, this study focuses on the awareness and literacy of educators on artificial intelligence, and its level of implementation in teaching. A descriptive-correlational design was utilized involving 100 junior high school DepEd Sta. Rosa educators. The data were collected through validated survey questionnaire and analyzed with Pearson correlation coefficient to determine the relationships of the variables. The findings indicate that the junior high school educators of DepEd Sta. Rosa have very high level of awareness (x̅ = 3.25) and high literacy (x̅ = 3.15) towards artificial intelligence. They also have high level of implementation of artificial intelligence in teaching (x̅ = 2.94). It was also revealed that there was a significant positive relationship between the level of awareness and level of literacy of educators on artificial intelligence. Furthermore, the level of awareness of educators as well as their literacy towards artificial intelligence influences the level of implementation of artificial intelligence in teaching. Therefore, it is crucial for educators to further develop their knowledge and skills on various applications of artificial intelligence in teaching and school administrators must invest in developing school facilities capable of catering this remarkable technology and effective guidelines to ensure its effective utilization and elevate the knowledge acquisition of learners.
