The Effect of Entrepreneurship on Regional Development and Urbanization: A Study with Special Reference to Chittoor district

Abstract	Entrepreneurship has emerged as a critical determinant of regional economic transformation in developing economies. This paper examines the role of entrepreneurial activities in shaping regional development and urbanization patterns in Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh. The study explores the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), agro-based industries, and service-sector enterprises and evaluates their contribution to employment generation, income enhancement, infrastructure expansion, and urban growth. Based on secondary data analysis and interpretative assessment, the findings indicate that entrepreneurship significantly contributes to structural transformation and spatial development within the district. The paper concludes that strengthening district-level entrepreneurial ecosystems can promote inclusive and sustainable regional development.
